Designform provided a wide spectrum of services for this 29,885-square-foot automobile sales and service facility including site visibility, adaptation and design, architectural design and documentation, contractor selections, budget control, regulatory approval submittals/representation, and construction contract administration services.  Design of the new facility was closely coordinated with the Mazda prototype.

The new facility is strategically located on a prime 4-acre site in Pelham, Alabama and highly visible from I-65.  The structure’s facade features a glass “Jewel Box”, equipped with a hydraulic lift used as an elevated automobile display case.

In making all efforts to meet the Owner’s critical schedule, it was necessary to begin sitework immediately, prior to completion of the building design. Designform also administered a separate sitework contract as part of their scope of services.
